Some of my recent design work received a nice feature on my professors’ blog. Check it out here: http://designisplay.com/plog.html
These 2 pieces were created for Angie Wang’s Typography I class at CCA. The assignment was called Letter as Image.

Postcards to Joe
A little while ago, I was browsing at Community Thrift and found a whole shoebox full of postcards addressed to a guy named Joe. This guy lived in the Mission sometime during the nineties, and as I figured out by reading a bunch of the cards, he obsessively collected postcards. I almost bought the whole box, but ended up only taking a few of my favorites. This is one them.

What I learned in Leadville, Colorado:
First of all, it’s very beautiful, and very, very cold.

Aspens are the largest organism on earth. And their bark has a fine greenish powder on it that contains natural SPF — which you can rub all over on your face...

The furniture of M. Parnes
Last week, in dire need of a new dresser, I went over to the Mission’s fabulous Salvation Army and found a gem.
It was tall, with a million drawers, it was on sale, and I had to have it. To make it easier to move, my roommate and I removed all of the drawers, which later left me with the fun task of trying to finesse all million drawers back into the right notches. As I was doing this, I...

Das Racist @ Pianos in NYC
During a whirlwind trip to New York this week I ended up at Das Racist show at Pianos — heyyy Wesleyan! I didn’t have my flash with me, so I took some super grainy photos. Holiday Holiday was playing upstairs and I shot a few pics of that too, which I’ll post later.
